Meet Amanda Dolan
How art became a journey of resilience, community, and creation
I've always been someone who loved to create. Books, painting, drawing, writing, music. Making things has been part of my life for as long as I can remember.
Like many people, I spent years trying different careers and doing what I thought was expected of me. Life eventually brought me to Mexico, where I found myself starting over as a single mom, doing my best to stay afloat.
Painting became my constant. It was the one thing I knew how to do and the place I kept returning to when life felt uncertain.
It wasn't always easy, but with the support of friends and the local community I slowly began building something from it. What started as simply painting to get through hard times eventually grew into the studio I run today.
Amanda's Painting is a small, welcoming space where people can come together to paint, learn, and create. My goal has always been to keep it simple and genuine, a place where anyone can pick up a brush, try something new, and enjoy the process of making something with their own hands.
